Pepsi strives to bring NFL fans closer to the game and the players, so when asked to get Steelers fans excited for the season, we wanted to do something even better – put fans into the game. We created a custom AR experience and digital game on Snapchat where fans could play as superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown. The game featured recognizable nods to Pittsburgh, Antonio’s iconic touchdown dances and a chance for fans to score prizes picked by #84 himself. With the help of banner ads, point-of-sale and Twitter posts from Antonio, thousands of fans in the Pittsburgh area got to experience Pepsi’s fun take on the NFL.
